Typical schedule is 8:00am – 6:00pm with flights in the morning, ground in the afternoon and more flights in the evening.
Weather, maintenance, or scheduling delays can happen in flight training. If delays occur, we will adjust the training plan as needed and continue working toward your training goals. Additional training days, lodging, or aircraft time may result in additional charges depending on the course package.
Yes. Student accommodations are included in tuition for our accelerated training programs.
While Southern Horizon does not currently offer on-site student housing, we partner with local property owners and hotels to provide comfortable lodging options for students during their training. Lodging is coordinated based on availability and training dates, helping out-of-town students stay close, reduce distractions, and focus fully on completing their course.
Recommended local accommodations may include rental houses and local hotels.
Current course pricing is listed on our Training Packages page. Because each student’s training needs may vary, we encourage students to contact us before scheduling so we can confirm eligibility, aircraft needs, and checkride readiness
Southern Horizon operates under Part 61. This allows us to provide flexible, one-on-one, proficiency-based training tailored to each student’s experience level and goals.
Not at this time. Southern Horizon does not currently accept GI Bill benefits.
We do not offer in-house financing. However, we recommend the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) as a resource for flight training financing options.
Yes. Contour Airlines provides commercial air service to South Arkansas Regional Airport, making it easier for out-of-town students to travel directly to El Dorado for training.
