 No, you can use any examiner you want to. Just let us know upon scheduling your class dates. 

Yes, as long as it has a valid airworthiness registration certificate and meets all the maintenance requirements. 

 We will work with you to address any deficiencies and prepare you for a retest. 

Through a partnership with The South Arkansas Flying Club, we offer a PA-28-181 Archer II with a Garmin 430 and a Cessna 172 L with a Garmin 530W and two G5's. (Additional membership cost is required for use of these airplanes) 

Yes, you must bring a passed written exam. 

Typical schedule is 8:00am – 6:00pm with flights in the morning, ground in the afternoon and more flights in the evening. 

While we do not currently offer on-site student housing, we proudly partner with local property owners and hotels to provide comfortable and affordable lodging options for our students. Through these partnerships, Southern Horizon students receive exclusive discounted rates during their training. Here are our recommended local accommodations:

Delay can happen due to weather, maintenance, or scheduling but we will adjust your training plan to keep you on track.

We do not offer in house financing; however, we recommend the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) as a resource for flight training financing options.
